wooden birds
Home, Interiors, Retro

Spring is here! The sun is out in London today, the sky is blue and the birds are tweeting happily outside my window. I have a soft spot for products featuring birds – bird prints, wallpapers, vintage ceramics – in fact anything fun and nicely designed. And owls – owls are cool.

Jonathan Adler Owls

There’s a distinctly vintage vibe to Jonathan Adler‘s Owl Salt & Pepper Shakers – even down to the retro style packaging.

Owl nightlight

This is supposed to be a kids night light but I think it would look cool in any grown up space. Buy at The Land of Nod.

white bird door stop

How cute is this bird door stopper? I want it. I haven’t actually got a door that needs to be stopped, but who cares. And it’s only £11! Buy at Rockett St George.

Sass & Belle Flying Birds Wall Art

A new take on the retro flying wall ducks, three very pretty Sasse & Belle swallows to hang on your wall. At Urban Outfitters.

These ‘Re-turned’ birds are the work of Norwegian designer Lars Beller Fjetland, who recycles bits of wood into these little fellas. Unwanted wood is given a new lease of life, and I love the packaging. Have a look at them here. Scandinavians always seem to get it right!

  1. I love the door stop! How cute would that be for a front door during a party or open house. Like a little bird is welcoming your guests!
