After a couple of weeks of madness trying to get the flat in some sort of state worthy of people coming over for our housewarming parties, we were quite looking forward to having some time off the DIY. Picnics in the park, bit of shopping, galleries, that sort of thing. And then I noticed yesterday that THE BATH IS SINKING INTO THE FLOOR.
Marvellous.
After a bit of investigation, all of the floorboards under the bath are completely rotten, after what must have been years of water getting to them. So, next job, take up the bathroom floor and replace it. This wasn’t on my list of things to do in the near future, but as is the way with old properties, they are full of surprises!
In the meantime, I need to look at other people’s pretty bathrooms to make me feel better…

Aww I’m sorry to hear about your bathroom troubles! Just know you’re in good company! We’re trying to finish our master bathroom and move onto our ‘leaning’ bathroom – the floor is crooked and we have no idea why. Gorgeous pictures help for sure….even helps inspire some much needed motivation 🙂
