New adventures

I’m back after a very long blog break and there have been lots of things going on. I’ll fill you in! In September I had a baby boy, he’s almost 10 months now and he’s wonderful. His name is Heath Falcon, and he’s a little adventurer.

He started crawling quite early, and as soon as he was mobile our one bedroom basement flat in SE London suddenly felt very cramped and claustrophobic! We needed more space. The extension was unfortunately no longer an option due to time, money and the mess it would create, so we had to move. We looked at places in London but everything was so expensive, and we couldn’t afford what we wanted. So we decided to move out of London sooner than we originally thought. Stuart has managed to get a new job starting in September up in Warwickshire. I have family there and we have friends and we can afford an actual house(!) so it’s all go now.

So we put our lovely flat up for sale, and it sold for over the asking price after a couple of days which was amazing. The sale has just completed, so we are currently staying with my folks until the house we are buying completes too. I’m missing Crystal Palace but excited about the future.

It was weird leaving the flat we put so much time, energy and love into doing up. The estate agent pictures looked great, the flat was unrecognisable to how it was when we first bought it over 3 years ago.

Someone else is living there now! I hope they’ll be as happy there as we were. We have lots of new adventures ahead, including hopefully getting the keys soon for our dream midcentury house…
