This 1960s architect-designed modernist property in Trollasen, Sweden, is so amazing I had to share it. It's for sale via fastighetsbyran. Built in 1961, it's retained some lovely details and has been sympathetically updated where needed. All images courtesy of http://www.fastighetsbyran.se/

We’re in!
We have moved into our new home, and it's fantastic to have space at last! Now our little boy is super active, to have room for him to run around and play is really special. The house is so light and bright, exactly what we wanted. And all the features are in tact because it hasn't been touched since… Continue reading We’re in!
Ikea PS 2014 collection
I'm back from a lovely week in Madeira, and rather than letting the post holiday blues get to me, I'm thinking how we can update our flat with new projects, paint and products. The new Ikea PS collection for 2014 has some really nice items, with bold colours and quirky design features. Here are my top… Continue reading Ikea PS 2014 collection

I'm very excited to find out that west elm is opening a store in Tottenham Court Road, London next month. I see lots of lovely items online from this American homeware store, so I can't wait to go and see it all for myself. Here's my top 10 favourite west elm items on their site… Continue reading west elm opening in London
1960’s house envy
Wow what a beautiful house. It's for sale for the first time since it was built in 1967, and the owners have carefully maintained it's original details. Designed by the renowned architect Peter Aldington, the four-bedroom property was given a rare Grade II listing by English Heritage in recognition of its outstanding design. It's in South… Continue reading 1960’s house envy
Friday house envy
Happy Friday! To help us through the last day of the working week, here's an amazing midcentury gem to swoon over. This house in Wales looks as it would have done when it was built in 1966. I love the coloured bathroom suites (I am convinced these will come back into fashion soon!), built in storage… Continue reading Friday house envy
Sanded floorboards
We have finally finished sanding the rest of the floorboards in our flat! The whole flat now has the original floorboards on show, and it's looking so much better. We even sanded the bathroom floor, to keep a flow of flooring throughout. As the flat isn't very big, this makes it feel more spacious. The… Continue reading Sanded floorboards
Colour me happy
I'm back from three weeks of travel around Mexico, Belize and Guatemala, and it was an amazing trip. Looking through my (many) holiday photos, I realise I have a bit of a thing about the brightly coloured doors and houses I saw whilst I was there. The gorgeous colours are helping me get through my… Continue reading Colour me happy
Exposed brick + vintage + glass = kitchen envy
This kitchen diner is so beautiful it makes me want to cry. Where do I start as to how much I love this space? Ok...the exposed brick, use of glass sliding doors to the garden, the glass roof, the gorgeous vintage quirky touches, those sinks, The Xavier Pauchard Tolix Stools, the amazing storage wall...'sigh!' All… Continue reading Exposed brick + vintage + glass = kitchen envy
Oliver Hrubiak Design
Some people are just too talented! I love the work of Oliver Hrubiak, who is based in Nottingham. He hasn't even graduated yet and has designed some gorgeous products - definitely a UK designer to watch. 'Finn' is a domestic chair inspired by Scandinavian functionalism. I love its nod to mid century but the design… Continue reading Oliver Hrubiak Design
